The CrossFit program delivers a fitness that is, by design, broad, general, and inclusive. Our speciality is not specializing. Combat, survival, many sports, and life reward this kind of fitness and, on average, punish the specialist. The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience. What Got Crossfit Offers

Got Crossfit uses  high intensity, functional training to help our clients achieve their fitness goals.  Our WODS (workout of the day) utilize short, high intensity workouts combining strength training, cardio and basic gymnastic moves. Not only will these workouts improve your fitness level they will save you time as you can say goodbye to running on a treadmill for 45 minutes and waiting for machines to open up at larger health clubs and gyms.

All of our workouts are scalable so we can accommodate members at any fitness level.  Can’t do pull ups – no problem we have bands to assist you, we will help you determine which weight to use for each exercise, we will continue to coach you and improve your form with all of our movements.

Our group class setting offers a fun, supportive and competitive atmosphere. GCF is a group of determined people who come in for 1 hour a day and give everything they have to give.  Regardless of what shape the individual is in, how much they scaled the workout or how long they have been a member everyone gives full out effort  and strives to improve in all facets of exercise and diet.  This environment creates an incredible camaraderie among members that you will not find at other gyms. People inspiring other people in a place where intensity breeds results. The people make the difference and you will not find a greater group of people to work out with than those of GCF.

Although my adventure into CrossFit started in February 2013, my health journey began in 2011. I was 220lbs and eating all the wrong foods with little exercise. In June 2011, a very close friend of mine at the age of 42 died of a heart attack. He was overweight, but I never really thought of it as a problem. He left behind a wife and 6 children. When I saw his 6 kids without a father, it broke my heart and I knew I had to make a change in my life and not do the same to my wife and 3 kids.

I began to run everyday and worked out with a personal trainer at the YMCA. I also joined regular boot camp classes along with my wife. In early 2013, I was ready to take my fitness to the next level. My friend told me about this place called Got CrossFit and it was right next to my work, so I thought I would give it a try. I remember it well. It was Valentine’s Day and the WOD was called The Cupid Crusher.

I was very impressed by the Box! The place was huge and so was the Coach! I was a little nervous. The Coach was well over 6 feet tall and looked like he could lift a truck! He turned out to be the nicest guy I know. It was a tough workout but actually fun! I was totally hooked and joined the Got CrossFit family of athletes.The people are so supportive and friendly. Whether you finish first or last, they are all cheering you to finish. The Coaches are awesome and encourage you in a positive way. They assist you with proper techniques making sure you’re not going to get hurt and they are always there to help you learn and get stronger. I’ve lost a lot weight and gained a lot of muscle. I’ve successfully completed my first GORUCK Challenge with my second upcoming in early 2014. My wife has also joined the CrossFit family and our children are eager to join as they get older. We feel very blessed and are thankful to the Got CrossFit family!

Why do I love CrossFit? I get asked that question a lot. Let me start by saying CrossFit has changed my life. It has been the only exercise regimen that has kept me motivated and eager to come back for more. I have tried all of the at home workouts you see on TV and they are great, the first two weeks you do them but then become boring very quickly. Crossfit brings something new to the table almost everyday. I also love the fact that when I leave box I am drenched in sweat and completely exhausted but by the time I drive home, I feel great.

I started Got Crossfit with shoulder, wrist, and lower back  issues but after working with the coaches and scaling back the WOD’s I can now give each WOD 100% and do it injury free. The coaches are always there to help you work through your lift techniques and help push you that extra bit to get the results you are looking for. Got Crossfit has a real family feel to it, all of the coaches and fellow athletes treat you with respect and a caring attitude to help you achieve your goals.

Now let me tell you a little about myself, I have always been a glamour muscle type of guy “Chest, Bi’s and Tri’s,  who needs leg day”. That being said, all I was really doing is robbing myself of becoming the athlete I had always wanted to be. Since joining Crossfit I have seen great strides in my performance and strength. My entire body has become much stronger and healthier. I am currently six months in and am very excited to measure my results after my first of many years with Got Crossfit. I am there every day at 5 p.m., if you want to hear my story first hand  and come give it a try I’ll be happy to share my experiences.

To sum it all up, Got Crossfit is the best box in Lakeland.

My name is Terry. I was 40 and tremendously out of shape when I started at Got-Crossfit. Got-Crossfit has saved my life. Before I started I was overweight, diabetic, had high blood pressure and cholesterol levels through the roof. I was 340 pounds with a 54 inch waist and wore a 4x shirt. Marek and Becki helped change all of that. Now all my vitals and blood work are in line and I am a 40 inch waist and I wear a xl shirt. The great thing is I really did not loose that much weight! I weigh about 300 pounds now but transformed all that body fat into muscle! Thanks to my coaches Marek & Becki and my GCF family for changing my life for the better. I will get to see my wife and kids get older. You can’t put a price tag on that! Please give GotCrossfit a try. It has added years to my life!
